Southern Slingshots:  Why We Do What We Do!

Southern Slingshots is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the original Dragster. Whether it is the short wheel base Altered or longer FED, Our goal is to bring this nostalgic form of racing to this present generation of fans who may not have seen and experienced cars like these as we did in our youth. Some of our members were drivers back in the day, while others are fans living the dream they aspired to when they were watching those up and coming race car drivers of years past.
Our objective is to “Have Fun” and keep the sport active; and we do have our fun!
